A Photoshoot with Willow, Chance, & Cricket!

We recently did an absolutely beautiful photoshoot with Maureen and her Dalmatians at our studio!!

Her gorgeous pups are Chance, Willow, and Cricket.

“I needed an excuse. For over three years, I have wanted to schedule a studio session with Alyssia Booth for my Dalmatians.

Littermates Willow and Cricket went with me everywhere while Cricket was being shown at both AKC

(American Kennel Club) and UKC (United Kennel Club) conformation events. We had great win photos and

some portraits of Cricket, but nothing of Willow.

Willow is an Altered Dalmatian and ineligible to show in AKC conformation. UKC however, allows Altered Dogs

to be shown in conformation and on a whim, in May of 2023, while competing with Cricket, I entered Willow,

just for fun. We came home with her first Altered Best In Show (ABIS) and that one entry, started a thing.

Whenever Cricket was competing at a UKC show, I’d enter Willow who loved the ring. She continued to be

recognized with Altered Best In Show (ABIS)and Altered Reserve Best In Show (ARBIS) wins throughout 2023

and into 2024, and I still didn’t have any truly gorgeous pictures of Willow as there were rarely photographers

at UKC shows, amateur or otherwise.

Fast forward to Spring of 2025. Willow was asked to attend the National Altered Dog Invitational Gala as the

first recipient of the PANDA award (Prestigious Altered National Dog Award) recognizing the Altered Dog with

the most ABIS and ARBIS wins nationally in 2024, and to participate in the National Altered Top 20 Invitational

show the next day.

As the recipient of the PANDA award, we were asked to provide photographs of Willow for banners, posters,

merchandise and other uses for the organization for these events and to sponsor the Altered Companion

Group.

The excuse to finally ask Alyssia Booth for a studio session fell into my lap. There wasn’t anyone else I wanted

to capture Willow’s essence and personality other than Alyssia and the results are nothing short of

spectacular.

I now have stunning pictures of Willow to share with the world, my 10-week-old puppy Chance, and a special

moment of Willow, Cricket, and Chance together. I will cherish Alyssia’s images of my Dalmatians forever.

Thank you Alyssia”
~Maureen

Chance had a ton of playful puppy energy and loved pouncing after our squeaky toys!

Photographing Willow, Cricket, and little Chance was such a joy! Seeing the love Maureen has for her dogs and the incredible accomplishments they’ve achieved together was inspiring and I’m so honored to have captured these moments for her!
