How they found each other... "Lauren and Paul met on a student database while attending MSU. It all started when Lauren received a message that she almost neglected to read (because the name on it was unrecognizable). Her quick decision to read it was an action that seemed so meaningless... They started conversing, and then decided to meet up. They went on their first date February 24th 2011, where they felt instant chemistry. Since then, they have experienced some of the best times of their lives- but most importantly they were able to conquer hardships together. "

The Proposal… “Paul proposed to Lauren on a dock (pictured), overlooking a Higgins Lake sunset. It took place during a weeklong trip that his family arranges every July. It was their last night before they were supposed to head back to Lansing. The sunset was perfect that evening, so Paul suggested to Lauren that she take out her camera to take pictures on the dock. They sat down with their feet in the water while Lauren began deleting pictures on her camera to make room for more. She was a little distracted while Paul tried his best to woo her (haha!). A couple times she stopped fiddling with her camera, to kid him that he was acting strange, and joked with him about his romantic gestures. At one point she even asked him, "What are you doing... proposing to me?" His response was something like "Well... why would you say that?!" He thought that she could've found out his plans, but in reality she was always able to read him like a book. After giving him some slack, he pulled out the ring and popped the question- to which she ecstatically said, "yes" at least 20 times.” 

Lauren and Paul's ceremony was absolutely beautiful!
