She has bountiful gifts to share with the world and I had so much fun photographing her with Eowyn the wolf at Honey Run Falls in Ohio! I love traveling for sessions and Leslie was an absolute dream to create photos for. Below are the favorite images from her photoshoot and a few words from Leslie on her life and start as an Animal Communicator…

“Ever since I was a little kid I could hear what animals were thinking and feeling. Unfortunately, due to my mother, I was told that I shouldn’t say such things and if I didn’t stop saying that I could talk to animals, then people would think I was crazy. So not only did I stop saying that I could hear animals talk to me, I shut it off and stopped hearing them.

However, about 12 years ago, things started to happen. I became a Reiki Master/Teacher. If you aren’t familiar with Reiki, it is removing negative or stagnant energy and replacing it with fresh, positive energy. It helps to release blockages of old energy and old ways and helps us to release emotional baggage and help our bodies heal. I found when I was giving Reiki to animals (mostly those that had aches and pains or had been abandoned, abused or adopted), I would get pictures in my head of their past or things I felt they were trying to convey to me.

Then 10 years ago I traveled to Montana to give Reiki to some Grizzly Bears in a Grizzly Bear Rescue and Education Sanctuary. When I started to give the bears Reiki I started really getting a lot of words, phrases, emotions, and pictures coming into my head. It was unnerving to be sure. I shared what I was seeing/hearing with the director and she validated everything that I was saying. By the end of the day I had talked to three Grizzly Bears and felt certain that the gift had finally returned.

I became the official Animal Communicator for the Montana Grizzly Encounter and started to gain a reputation as a “Bear Whisperer”. But it isn’t just Bears, it is all animals. I can talk to animals that are alive and living with you now or those that have already crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I only need a photo to connect with your pet and there is no need to actually be face-to-face with an Animal. It is no more accurate or clear being face-to-face as it is when I use a photo. Both are equally accurate.

As a professional Animal Communicator, I often get to interact with “exotic” animals such as bears, tigers, lions, cheetahs, wolves and the like. Of course I also have clients that are dogs, cats, horses and birds. Sometimes, depending on the actual animal I will even get the very special “kiss”. Those are my favorites. I really enjoy working with Wolves and had a few cell phone pictures of me with Wolves, but when Alyssia offered me the chance to meet with a Wolf and have an outdoor photo shoot in a park with her, I jumped at the chance. I had worked with Alyssia before having a photo of me and a Dog friend taken for advertising purposes and thought she did amazing work, so there was no doubt in my mind that she was the photographer that I wanted for this Wolf photo shoot. It was a magical day with Eowyn the Wolf and we spent a few hours with her getting many different photos.

Alyssia was kind enough to spend quite a lot of time with me weeks before the shoot to go over what I envisioned for the photos, what my concerns were, what my objectives were and what style I was thinking for the shoot. She sent me tons of links for props and clothes and also had quite a few for me to borrow. The pictures turned out stunning and I am very happy with them. I want to use them for advertising for my Animal Communication business.
