Relaxing for Your Boudoir Session
Are you nervous about your boudoir session? Here are some tips to help you relax during your shoot:
Remember – My job is to make you look your best, at all the most flattering angles. I’ll pose you from your head to your toes, fix that stray curl that’s floofing the wrong way, tell you where to look, to raise your should, turn your face this way or that, and make sure we don’t have any goofy tags sticking out of your bra! I’ve got you covered and we’re going to have so much fun during your shoot!
Play Music – By default I always have music going in the studio during shoots, but you’re always welcome to commandeer the sound system! It has bluetooth connectivity and it’s super easy to hook up to. Bring your favorite music to play during your session! Your favorite tunes can help you calm down and feel comfortable.
Deep Breathing – Practice deep breathing. This is a proven relaxation method. Breathe in deeply through your nose and exhale through your nose. Repeat until you feel relaxed.
Take a Break – If you’re feeling overwhelmed, we can take a break from shooting and talk and relax before resuming the photo shoot.
Drink – Not to get drunk, but just enough to help you cut loose. Feeling a little buzzed will help tremendously. Don’t plan to drink a ton though, as too much wine or liquor can give your skin a stronger rosy flush than we want for photos.
Laugh It Off – If you’re feeling silly in front of the camera, laugh! Laughter is a great relaxation technique. It will help you loosen up. Sure it may feel a little awkward in the moment but it always helps!
