Spooky Time

Facebook, Instagram and social media are currently EXPLODING with coven and witchy photoshoots. I love it and I’m all for it! I’ve always loved witchy stuff and most of the what I’ve seen has been awesomely inclusive, body positive, and sexy as hell! The only negativity I’ve noticed is photographers worrying about pissing other photographers off, I.E. getting yelled at for supposedly copying their work. Let’s be real though, it’s 2020. At this point photographing witches and covens in Fall/October is like photographing someone against a brick wall- Just do a shoot and have fun. If some other photog gets mad, let that person stress themselves out, and YOU enjoy making some art. Witches/coven shoots are crazy popular right now because A, Halloween/Spooky Season, and B, both The Caft remake and The Witches remake are about to release, and Hocus Pocus 2 has been officially announced. The minute those hit streaming services like Disney+ and Prime, witchy stuff will explode even more. So enjoy the spooky season and make ALL the spooky art! Use smoke bombs and pumpkins and fog and black dresses! Give yourself permission to be inspired!
