"When he proposed, we were up north visiting his family in Traverse City. I knew something was up because the whole drive north, he was fidgety and staring at me. We went to his childhood home, and talked with his father and stepmother for an hour or so and then he got very impatient and stated we needed to leave to visit his mother. (She wasn't supposed to even be out of work for another hour). I thought he was being ridiculous, but I went along with him and headed outside. It was raining and he turned and asked me to walk with him. I remember looking at him like he was crazy and asked him if I could put my things in the car so they wouldn't get wet. He tossed my phone in his pocket and asked again if I would walk with him. I agreed and in my cloth shoes he led me to this gorgeous tree on his dad's property. He looked at me, and started it with "You know I love you, right?" I responded that I loved him too, and he said "I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Figuring out what he was doing must have fried my brain because I responded with, I love you too. (Again).
He got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes, and he tried to put the ring on the wrong hand, hahaha.
We went and told his family and I called all of mine. It was a really unforgettable night." ~Marisa
Garrett and Marisa's wedding was on a beautiful, crisp fall day, with just a little evening rain.
I was honored to captured the photography for them with my awesome associate photographer Angela Mohney of Almost Fantasy.
Kristina at K Booth Media did the videography for their wedding.
